Meet the Chancellor

Dr. Carolyn L. Johnson is the Founder and chancellor of Alpha and Omega Bible Study Institute. She has gained a solid academic background at both a residential Bible College and non-traditional higher education as follows:

VIRGINIA STATE UNIVERSITY, PETERSBURG, VA – 1966 She spent three years as a full-time residential student.

VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY, RICHMOND, VA – 1969 She earned approximately 21 credits on a part-time basis over a period of time.

HOWARD UNIVERSITY, WASHINGTON, D.C. – 1984 Accounting Certificate

ST. PAUL’S COLLEGE, LAWRENCEVILLE, VA – 1993 Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management

AVERETT UNIVERSITY, DANVILLE, VA – 1995 Masters in Business Administration

TRINITY COLLEGE AND SEMINARY, NEWBURGH, IN – 2002 She currently is working on her dissertation for a Doctor of Christian Education Degree.


Dr. Carolyn L. Johnson was license to preach in 2000 and ordained in 2003 and has held various positions since that time: Minister of Christian Education at two different churches, Youth Pastor, workshop facilitator, Seminary Instructor and Assistant Pastor. She is the founder of The Alpha and Omega Bible Study Institute and facilitates the classes each week.

Dr. Johnson is the Founder and Pastor of The Alpha and Omega Bible Church, a place for all of God’s creation in transition. This is a unique ministry that is focused on the homeless, those persons that are in between churches, and the lost. It is a no-membership, no-denominational church that goes out into the community.
